I am twenty-four years old and I come from a very close-knit family. My dad has been teaching elementary school for the
last thirty years, and I would consider him to be one of the biggest reasons I am going into teaching. My mom is a librarian
and I tend to share her love of books! :) My younger brother is beginning his junior year at Grand Valley University with
a focus in music.
I grew up in Lapeer, Michigan. I attended Lapeer West High School where I was quite active. I played the French horn
in four years of Symphony band and the mellophone in four years of Marching band. I also played four years of varsity soccer,
played basketball, and was a member of the National Honor Society. (I also spent a lot of time volunteering, playing indoor
soccer, and taking French horn and piano lessons.)

When it comes to music, I listen to just about everything.
I am a big sports fan, but the Detroit Pistons are by far my favorite team. Go Pistons!!! DEEE-TROIT BASKET-BALL!
I love to travel! My family often travels during summer vacation. I've been to most of the states and all of the provinces
of Canada. I hope to someday take a tour of the world! I'm hoping to get to the European countries soon!
